Mr. Al Hofstede, Corporate Health Systems

Al Hofstede is the Vice President of Consulting at Corporate Health Systems one of the state’s largest independent agencies. CHS works with employers ranging from 2 employees well into the thousands. He has been with the agency for 12 years and oversees their consulting practice. Al spends a significant amount of time presenting on various health insurance topics. With the insurance landscape changing significantly due to health care reform, providing employers with constant updates is a passion of Al’s.

Ms. Carrie Schmitz, Ergotron, Inc.

Carrie is the marketing research manager for Ergotron and works closely with scientists on a global level exploring the impact of sit-stand desks as an intervention for sedentary behavior. She regularly contributes to the “Thinking Like Harry” and “Move More” blogs and hosts Twitter chats (#ergochat and #standchat) on a variety of relevant topics. Carrie has written three white papers on aspects of computer use: Comfortable Portable Computing, Taking a Stand on Office Wellness and Ergonomics and Radiology.

Dr. Chad Henriksen, The Sweere Center
Chad, a 1995 graduate of Northwestern College of Chiropractic, earned his Diplomate degree in Occupational Health and Applied Ergonomics in 2002. He has spent over 30,000 hours providing on-site health and wellness services that have included everything from health and safety workshops to ergonomic consultation and injury prevention programs. His on-site health and wellness clinics have been on the leading edge of employee benefits and corporate cost savings for nearly two decades.
Mr. Bob Hanlon, Trig

Bob Hanlon is Founder and Owner of Trig, the world’s first training program on how to use the healthcare system. He’s also the President and Owner of Corporate Health Systems, a corporate health and benefits consulting firm that he started in 1987. Among his many accomplishments, he has served on a task force representing individual brokers for the Minnesota Health Exchange. He’s a graduate of the University of St. Thomas with a degree in marketing, and he is the father of two sons and lives with his wife in Victoria.

Dr. Joe Sweere, The Sweere Center

Dr. Sweere is a Professor in the Clinical Sciences Division, College of Chiropractic, Northwestern Health Sciences University (NWHSU) in Bloomington, MN, U.S.A. He is the founder of, and an advisor to the H.C. Sweere Center for Clinical Biomechanics and Applied Ergonomics located on the campus of Northwestern Health Sciences University.

Dr. Lenselink, Advacare

Dr. Lenselink is a Chiropractor and Acupuncturist since 1981. He developed and produces talk radio show “To Your Health”, a one hour program dedicated to educating businesses and consumers on changes in the health care delivery system, how to get more value out of your health care spending and what choices exist that consumers may not know about. In addition, he developed Advacare Clinics in 2011 and became the Clinic administrator of Advacare Clinics in 2012.

Dr. David Elton, Optum

David Elton is Senior vice President of Clinical Programs for Optum Physical Health. David’s responsibilities include quality improvement and measurement, cost and quality transparency, care pathway optimization and much more.

Jerry Kill, former head football coach at the University of Minnesota

Jerry Kill spent 30 years teaching the game of football and motivating young athletes to become better players and individuals. Due to his health condition, Coach Kill retired in 2015 and now spends his time sharing the lessons he has learned throughout his career. With his down-to-earth speaking style, Coach Kill is motivating, inspiring, and instantly connects with his audiences.


Dr. Chris Cassirer, President, Northwestern Health Sciences University

Prior to Northwestern, Dr. Cassirer was Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences and the College of Management and Business at National Louis University. Previously, he held faculty and executive positions at Capella University including University President. Before Capella, he was a professor at The George Washington University, the Carlson School of Management, and the University of Minnesota School of Medicine. He has also held consulting positions with Fairview Health Services, Arthur Andersen, and The Johns Hopkins University Health System.

Dr. Dennis Rodden, Advacare

Dr. Rodden is a licensed naturopathic medical doctor, chiropractic physician, registered nurse, board certified fellow in acupuncture, lecturer, author, consultant and healthcare administrator.

Dr. Brown, Solarte Health

Dr. Brown became part of Southdale Internal Medicine in December of 2000. Dr. Brown earned his medical degree at Loma Linda University School of Medicine in Loma Linda, California, in 1990, where he also completed an internal medicine residency.

From 1993 to 1995 he served as locum tenens in California and as an internist at Park Nicollet Clinic in Burnsville from 1995 to 2000. He is board certified in Internal Medicine. Preventive medicine is his special interest. He enjoys building long term relationships with his patients. His outside interests are in travel and gardening.
